A. Growth category 

• Investment Amount : NZD 5 Million

• Investment Term: 3 Years

• Minimum Presence : 21 Days

• Funds must be invested in managed funds and direct business ventures, both of which must be approved by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE).​

B.Balanced category 

• Investment Amount : NZD 10 Million

• Investment Term:  5 Years

• Minimum Presence : 105 Days

• Can reduce presence requirement by further investment: 91 Days (Extra NZD 1m), 77 Days (Extra NZD 2m), 63 Days(Extra NZD 3m)

• Investment funds can be spread across a wider selection of approved investment options such as stocks, bonds, managed funds, direct business ventures, property development, and philanthropic contributions.

Residency Timeline & Conversion to Permanent Residence

1. Submit application

2. obtain Approval in Principle

3. Transfer and invest funds within 6 months (possible one-time six‑month extension)

4. Residency visa is granted upon successful investment auditing

5. Your minimum presence days must be completed during the visa period

6. At the end of the investment term (3 or 5 years), you may apply to convert to a Permanent Resident Visa, valid indefinitely
